A top bulge bracket bank is looking for a Portfolio Manager (Credit Lending) for its Wealth Management Division.
The Portfolio Manager is the primary contact with the client, professional advisors and financial advisors. They “own” the relationship with the business and business owner and are responsible for all aspects of that relationship as it pertains to managing credit risk, monitoring the financial condition and performance of borrowers, lending, monitoring covenant compliance, and monitoring the collateral. Ongoing monitoring of financial condition and performance of borrowers; monitor covenant compliance; collateral monitoring • Conduct conference calls and meet with financial advisors, clients and professional advisors such as lawyers and accountants to obtain financial information and to cross sell other products (cross-selling experience not required) • Structure, underwrite and present recommended renewals, increases, and new loans (to existing borrowers) to senior management or Credit Committee for approval • Work closely with the Director of Documentation in preparation of amendments, waivers, and loan documents • Responsible for data integrity. Skills Required • Bachelors degree • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial banking, lending and commercial credit analysis • Formal credit training preferred • Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills • Possess good oral and written communication skills • Possess strong customer service and problem solving techniques.
